Men's and Women's Darts Singles League

Welcome to the Afton Singles Darts League.

League matches will be on Thursdays and start time will be 7 pm. I will try to be at the venue at 6 pm every Thursday so that everyone can come in early and warm up.

League fees:
$10 per week for league dues (mandatory)
$2 per week per player for venue rental fees (mandatory)
$1 each for High score / high finish / 180s (optional)
Card shoot: $5 per ticket, 3 tickets for $10 or 7 tickets for $20 (optional)

In the first week of the season, all players will have to choose High score / High finish / 180s. Once your choice is made, these are locked in and you will have to pay for them every week. For example, if I choose HS/HF, it will cost me $14 per week for the season.

100% of the weekly dues go back to the players as payouts for the season and playoffs
We will have a Men's division (16 registered) and a Women's division (8 registered)
The men will play 3 times against each opponent for a total of 45 matches
The women will play 7 times against each opponent for a total of 49 matches
Playoffs are double elimination (you need to lose 2 matches to be eliminated). The Men's playoffs will take 3-4 weeks to complete and the Women's playoffs should take 2 weeks to complete.

Match format:
Season: Everyone plays 2 matches per week. Each match is 7 legs. All legs are played. Each leg won is 1 point in the standings. Standings are based on number of legs won during the season
Playoffs: Each match is first to win 7 legs (Best of 13)

Card shoot rules:
The card shoot is a 50/50 draw to allow for the league to make a bit of money for trophies, tablets, DartConnect fees and other expenses.
If your ticket is drawn, you will draw a card that has either a double, a triple or either one of the bulls at which you have 2 darts to hit. Example: if you draw double 16 and you hit it with one of your 2 darts, you win the jackpot. If not, the jackpot grows to the following week.

All payouts for the season and the playoffs have been determined based on season length and the number of players in each division. Please see the attached PDF file to view all the info.

The league's start date will likely be October 3. We will have a fun darts/practice/meeting on September 26 to meet everyone and get our arms ready for this great season!

We will be using DartConnect for scoring matches, so no messy chalk.
